Becky S. Babin-Potts, 63, of Nederland, died Monday, Oct. 20. She was born Sept. 25, 1951, in Port Arthur, to Mary Lou Hebert and Albert Lee Hightower, and was a lifelong resident of the area.

Becky enjoyed dancing, and was an accomplished tap dancer. She also enjoyed shopping and chocolates. She will be especially remembered as a loving Nana.

Becky is survived by her daughters, Cheri Jordan and her husband, Jeffrey, of Katy; Crissie Babin of Houston; Cassey Jacobs and her husband, Joshua, of Bridge City; and Caree Smail and her husband, Tyler, of Virginia Beach, Va; grandchildren, Jessica and Jacob Jordan, Daniel and Ashlee Cooper, Chandler Pachuca, Jayden Jacobs, and Taygan Smail; sister, Dianne Krautz and her husband, Johnny, of Beaumont; and numerous other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Michael J. Babin and David Potts; brother, Phillip “Scooter” Hightower; and sister, Barbara Lee Vincent.

A gathering of Mrs. Babin-Potts’ family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with a celebration of her life to follow at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 8, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her entombment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
