Dana Marie Scott, 13, of West Orange passed away Friday, Oct. 17, at Baptist Hospital in Orange.

Dana was born in Port Arthur, on April 18, 2001. She was lifelong resident of Orange and a member of New Anointing Full Gospel Church in Orange. Dana enjoyed tearing paper and putting it in a bottle, listening to music and reading. Dana loved to play with her cousins, and she will be missed dearly by all who know her.

She was preceded by her grandmother, Mary Garrett.

Dana is survived by her mother, Elizabeth Garrett of West Orange; father, Martin Earl Scott of Orange; sister, Danielle Garrett of West Orange; aunt and uncle, Patsy and Charles McCarver Jr .; grandfather, Wayne Garrett of Orange, maw-maw and paw-paw Charles and Nina McCarver Sr. of Mauriceville; cousins, Zachary Garrett, L.C. McCarver, Amber Garrett, Bayleigh Garrett and a large extended family and a host of friends.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 1, at Dorman Funeral Home, with gathering of family and friends from 2:00 pm until service time. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Dorman Funeral Home.
