OES students celebrate Red Ribbon Week

Last updated 11/3/2014 at Noon

Orangefield Elementary students recently celebrated Red Ribbon Week. Every day carried a theme related to drug awareness and just saying NO to drugs. Students and staff promoted getting hooked on books, not drugs by dressing up as their favorite book character.

The office staff dressed up as nursery rhyme characters, while some fourth graders celebrated Dr. Seuss and his Thing 1 and Thing 2.

Friday was dedicated to everyone having the power to say NO to drugs. Everyone was invited to dress up as their favorite superheroes.

The First Grade Teachers chose to dress up like real life superheroes to give children "real" examples of everyday "Superheroes."
