Frances E. Cain, 90, of Orange, passed away Nov. 5, at Village Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation in Lumberton.

A memorial service will be at 10:00 am, Tuesday, Nov. 11, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be the Rev. Randy Branch of Wesley United Methodist Church in Orange. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.

Born in Orange, Feb. 19, 1924, she was the daughter of Robert Roy Scaife and Bernadette (Landry) Scaife. Frances was a graduate of Saint Anthony High School, a homemaker, and was an avid golfer alongside her husband, Ivan, at the DERA Course and Sunset Grove Country Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 year; and seven brothers and sisters.

Frances is survived by her daughters, Sandra Hopkins and husband, Del of Nederland, Cathy Davis of Lumberton, and Shelley Joy Cain of Beaumont; grandchildren, Laurie and husband, Erik Sotelo of Rosenburg, John and wife, Kelly Reese of Austin, and Amanda and Jackie Padgett of Lumberton; five great-grandchildren; and her sister, Margaret Ruth “Peggy” McCullough and husband, Mac of Orange, as well as many nieces and nephews.
