The Lutcher Theater closes out 2014 with sold out performances of Schoolhouse Rock Live! along with an all-time record attendance for children’s performances. A pop culture phenomenon based on the hit Saturday morning cartoon series, Schoolhouse Rock Live! is scheduled to play the Lutcher on Wednesday, Nov. 19, at 9:30 and 11:30 AM to a maximum Lutcher crowd of approximately 2800 students, teachers and parents. This performance will mark a record 20,538 children’s performance attendees for 2014.

Young patrons and their grownups will have more opportunities to experience Lutcher Incredible Kids Events in 2015 with upcoming performances of Jim Henson’s Dinosaur Train Live – Buddy’s Big Adventure, January 15, The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley, January 23, The Gruffalo’s Child, March 25, ImaginOcean, April 2, and Doktor Kaboom, April 10.

Each show runs approximately one hour in length and is scheduled for two performances, one at 9:30 AM and one at 11:30 AM. The content of these shows meets Texas and Louisiana-state learning criteria, making them ideal for school field trips, although the public is also welcome. Tickets for most events are $4 each.

The Lutcher Incredible Kids Events Series is one of the largest performing arts series of national and international touring companies for children in a four-state area comprising Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Arkansas. This series is sponsored locally by Printpack Inc. and by the Service League of Orange.

More information about these and other Lutcher events can be found at www.lutcher.org. Tickets for Lutcher Incredible Kids Events may be purchased by calling the Lutcher Theater Box Office at 409-886-5535.
