Families in crisis empowered through local support

From grief, stress, parenting challenges, marital difficulties, substance abuse and much more, Southeast Texas families face countless struggles every day. Unfortunately, many affected families lack the support and resources to cope and repair their broken lives.

In an effort to provide support to these local families in need, CommunityBank of Texas reached out to Family Services of Southeast Texas, presenting the organization with a donation of $5,000. This donation will be used to help Family Services of Southeast Texas continue in its work in providing accessible counseling services, shelter services, education and advocacy to families in our area.

“At CommunityBank of Texas, we take the overall health of our communities very seriously,” said Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer Donna Dillon. “That’s a big part of who we are, and we realize that when there are families in need, suffering from these types of problems, it affects our entire community. While many of our employees already volunteer their time to help organizations like Family Services, this donation is another tangible way we could help.” Dillon, who presented the donation to Executive Director Janet Walker of Family Services of Southeast Texas, volunteers on the organization’s board of directors.
