Mauriceville residents issued boil water notice
The city of Mauriceville has issued a Boil Water notice after a water line was broken experiencing on HWY 1130 at Savon Circle. The break has affected all roads from Savon Circle to Meadowlark and is in effect until further notice.
The Mauriceville Municipal Utilty District sent out this notice:
“Public Notice to Boil water.
“Due to a main break on FM1130 just at Savon Circle, the Texas Commission on Environmental uality(TCEQ has required our water system, Mauriceville M.U.D. /1810144 to notify customers from Saxon Circle to Meadowlark Rd. and all roads between of the need to boil their water prior to consumptions.
“To ensure descrution of all harmful bacteria and othe rmicrobes, water for drinking, cooking and maiking ice should be boiled and cooled priot to use. The water should be brought to a vigorous, rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes. In lieu of boiling, you may purchase bottled water or obtain water fromsome other suitable source.
Whe it is no longer necessary to boil the water, thw eater system officials will notify you that the water is safe for consumption. Instruction to discontinue boiling will be issued in the same mannner as this notice.
