OC Detective arrested for suspicion of DUI

An Orange County detective was arrested Friday night on a suspected DUI charge.

Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers pulled over Detective Darrell Chevis Perkins' vehicle on Hwy. 87 for a routine traffic stop. He was taken into custody on a suspicion of driving while intoxicated charge. He was transported to the Orange County jail were he was booked and processed.

This is an ongoing investigation and no further details are being released by DPS.
