The Orange County Historical Society will have their first quarterly program of the year Feb. 3, at 6:30 pm, in the conference room of the Orange Public Library.

Gus Harris, Jr., who along with his family, has been engaged in ranching and farming for a number of years, will speak on the history of rice farming in Orange County.

Gus will supplement his speech with slides of photographs going back nearly 100 years. The historical society encourages the public to come join them in learning of a bygone era, so important to the early economy of Orange County.
