James Roy “Red” Jackson, 78, of Ivanhoe passed away Jan. 14. He was born in Wells, Jan. 13, 1937 to Leroy and Una Peal Minter Jackson. Red married Wilda Ann Duos and they raised four children. He was a butcher by trade, and had worked at Texas Ave. Grocery in Bridge City; He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be missed by all who loved him.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife Wilda Jackson; daughters Theresa Broom and Connie Darby ; sons John Jackson and James Allen Jackson; grandchildren Kenneth Broom, Virginia Hollyfield, Tyson Hollyfield, Jason Hollyfield, Victoria Carr, Kevin Jackson, Coleman Jackson, Erin Hanks, Bree Jackson, Jami Jackson, Kyle Jackson, Mica Sherril, Maddison Helm, Katelynn Helm, and Dustin Helm; and seventeen great-grandchildren.

Services were held Jan. 17 in Woodville.
