Evett Daigle, 89, of Orange, passed away Jan. 23, at The Sabine House in Orange.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00p.m., Sunday, Jan. 25, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Orange. Officiating will be the Rev. Lynn Ashcraft. There will be no visitation.

Born in Woodlawn, La., Sept. 8, 1925, he was the son of Thomas Daigle and Alzina Granger Frugia. Evett loved traveling with his wife. He enjoyed reading and treasured the time he spent with his children and grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Allison Daigle and brother, Nelson Daigle.

He is survived by his daughters, Ellen Ray and husband, Hugh Dean of Orange and Patricia Richard of Austin; sons, Michael Daigle and wife Wanda of Orange and Fred Daigle of Round Rock; sister, Virginia Foster of Beaumont; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
