LCM High School participates in UIL Meet

Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School placed in several competitions, earning them Second in Sweepstakes and also in Overall Speech at the UIL Academic Meet at Nederland on Saturday, Jan. 24. The LCM HS team Individual winners include the following.

In science, Aaron Rose took second in Biology; Computer Science Team competition LCM took first, Individual winners included Matthew Cox – first, John Comeaux- fourth and Arish Behraiya – fifth; The Number Sense team placed second, with Clint Jackson taking first and David Fenner earning third and Clint Jordan came in fourth in Mathematics.

Jace Bagwell, came in fifth in Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Aman Tejani took fifth in Persuasive Speaking, Prose winners included Triston Stringer – first, Connor Alexander – second and Tyler Regan – Fourth. LCM also took first and second in Poetry with Rebecca Sanford and Mariah Blair, respectively.

In Editorial Writing, Wendy Cates took sixth and Valen Eliot placed fifth in Feature Writing.
