The Celebration of Life for Mr. Charles Edward Gans, 70, of Orange, will be Saturday, March 7, at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. Rites of Christian Burial will follow in Magnolia Memorial Gardens under the direction of Sparrow Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Saturday morning from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. at the church.

His summons from earthly life came Sunday, March 1, at his residence.

An Orange native, he was a U.S. Army veteran. He served in the Vietnam Conflict and was discharged with honors. He was a member of the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church.

Forever cherishing his memory are one daughter, Lori Oyo (Daniel) of Richmond; two brothers, the Rev. Franklin Gans (Doris) and Adam Gans; four sisters, Mary Knox, Johnell Davis (Ronald), Jo Ann Henson (Elray) and Emma Augustine (Kenneth), all of Orange; three grandchildren and his companion and cherished friend, Kimberly Ainsworth of Orange.
