Floy Linder

Floy (Maw Maw) Linder, 87, of Bridge City, passed away on March 6, at her home.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 10, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be her nephew, Mr. Charles (Butch) Thurman. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, March 9, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.

Born in Farmerville, La, March 9, 1927, Floy was the last surviving child of George Rafe and Mary Elizabeth (Castleberry) Odom. Floy was a long time resident of Bridge City and a member of First Baptist Church of Bridge City. She was a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her most enjoyable time was to have her family around where she could cook for them. Floy’s hobbies were spending time in the woods and fishing.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Johnnie (Pete) Linder; infant son, Gary Leo; granddaughter, Kim Linder Arnauld; two brothers and three sisters.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Johnnie (Skipper) Linder, Jr. and wife, Verna and Larry Linder and wife, Donna; five grandchildren, Larry Linder, Jr., J.J. Simpson, Brian Linder, Karen Haynes and Grace Linder; nine great-grandchildren, Starla Linder, R.T. Arnauld, Harleigh Myers, Corbin Myers, Dakota Linder, Bryce Linder, Sidney Haynes, Devin Boles and Kaden Boles and sisters-in-law, Ruth Platt, Helen Weaver, Marie Miller, Velma Odom and Neil Odom.

Serving as pallbearers will be Larry Linder Jr., Brian Linder, R.T. Arnauld, Tony Arnauld, Chad Tuter and Chris Simpson.
