Jimmy Davis Broussard, 77, of Orange, passed from this life Tuesday, March 3, at his residence following an illness.

Born Feb. 16, 1938 in Kaplan, Louisiana to Winnis and Mathilde (Labit) Broussard, he lived in Orange for the past 21 years and was a previous resident of Beaumont and Lumberton. Jimmy worked as a painter and sandblaster in shipyards and steel companies in Southeast Texas. He retired in 2005. Jimmy was a veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching the news and watching western movies.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents.

Those who will most cherish his memory are his companion of many years, Gladys Choate of Orange; daughters, Rebecca Broussard Boyd of Vidor and Susan Broussard Love of Beaumont; step daughters, Patty Bonner and husband, Terry of Dayton, Kimberly Evans and husband, Rob of Missouri, Vickie Richard and husband, Joseph of Orange and Jana Cone and fiancé, Steven Dalton of Houston; brothers, Shelton Broussard and wife, Merline of Orange and Larry Broussard of DeQuincy; 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Arrangements for Cremation are under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home in Orange.
