Annual Port Neches Riverfest scheduled for April 29

Officials are getting ready for the Annual RiverFest at Port Neches River Front Park April 29th – May 3th brought to you by Neches Federal Credit Union.
RiverFest offers a variety of Food and Arts & Crafts vendors Thursday through Sunday.
Wednesday, April 29 features our second annual Faith and Family Night, featuring the Christian bands Micah Tyler and Hawk Nelson.
Live Entertainment on the main stage will also include Charlie Robison and Cody Canada & the Departed on Thursday night, Shiny Ribs and Josh Abbot Band on Friday Night. Saturday Night, Champagne Room & Bag of Donuts will be performing. Our Entertainment this year is brought to you by Classic Southeast Texas and Bud Light.
On Saturday, May 2 at the Pavilion there will be lots of local talent performing. The Annual Classic Car Show will also be hosted within the Park.
Sunday, May 3 the 2015 Miss Port Neches Royalty and 2015 Mother of the Year will be announced!
Other scheduled events are the Pet Show, Treasure Hunt, 2-day Fishing Tournament, Horseshoe & Washer Tournament, Barbeque Cook-off, Veteran’s Parade, Fireworks Display, Cutest Baby Contest, 1k & 5k Fun Run (Saturday, April 25th), Photo Contest and a kid coloring contest where the winner gets his/her picture put on a t-shirt.
“Thunder on the Neches” power boat races produced by John Schubert with Southern Professional Outboard Racing Tours will start Saturday, May 2nd from 1-5pm and continue Sunday, May 3rd from 9a.m. until 4:30p.m.
Prices for the All-inclusive wristbands for the boat races and Entertainment Complex will be as follows: General Admission - $15 wristband good for all 3 nights Thursday– Sunday) - Wednesday – Faith & Family Night Night $5 - Youth 3 and under get in free! - Thursday - $15 (Children 3 and under get in free) - Friday - $15 (Children 3 and under get in free) - Saturday- $15 (Children 3 and under get in free) - Sunday (no charge)
Riverpasses for unlimited carnival rides are on sale at Port Neches Banks, Credit Unions & the Port Neches Chamber of Commerce. Price is $40 per person for unlimited rides and free admission to the Entertainment Complex Thursday – Sunday.
This year, the public will also be able to purchase Faith & Family Night Tickets, Entertainment Passes and Riverpasses online at http://www.pnriverfest.com
The following areas are NOT inside the gate, and will remain FREE to the public: The Pavilion, All Vendors – Food and Arts & Crafts, Port Neches Park, Fun Run, Boat Show, and Barbeque Cook-off. (Tugboat Island and the Splash Park will be closed April 29th – May 3rd)
