A 22 year old Orange man drowned in Lake Charles Saturday evening under the IH-10 bridge.

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office responded to the call and learned that Joshua Moreaux of Orange had been kayaking with friends when they decided to take a break under the bridge. Moreaux got out of his kayak and began to swim. Witnesses said they could see Moreaux struggling, so one of them swam out to help him but was unsuccessful.

The CPSO Marine Division was called to the scene. They found Moreaux's body at about 10:25 pm.
