Sunday, May 17, at about 5:00 p.m. The Pinehurst Police Department responded to an aggravated robbery at the Kwick Stop convenience store located at 1427 Strickland Dr. A black male entered the business, displayed a black, semi-automatic handgun and demanded cash from the register. The suspect was wearing what appeared to be a black, hooded jacket or shirt, gray shorts and a red scarf-like cloth that covered the bottom portion of his face. The store clerk opened the register and the suspect removed an undetermined amount of U.S. currency before fleeing the business on foot.

Pinehurst Police are asking for your help in identifying the suspect as well as another black male who had entered the business prior to the suspect and witnessed the robbery.
