Saturday, May 30, at 4:24 pm, officers from the Orange Police Department were dispatched to the 200 block of Dewey in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival officers found a male suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital Orange where he was pronounced dead. He was identified as 22 year old Elijah Joseph Alexander.

While on the scene, officers were notified of another individual that was at a local medical facility seeking treatment for gunshot wounds to the legs.

The investigation revealed that Alexander and the other subject had shot each other following a dispute. The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made at this time.
