Several local Lamar University students graduated with honors during fall commencement ceremonies Dec. 15, in the Montagne Center. Listed below are local graduates:

Pamela Perricone and Joshua Simmons, both of Vidor, graduated summa cum laude (with highest honors), with grade-point averages ranging from 3.8 to 4.0.

Aysha Aras, of Bridge City, and Lisa Farzad, Jessica Weldon and Fred Zoch, all of Orange, graduated magna cum laude (with high honors), with a GPA of 3.65 to 3.79.

Ashley Angelle, Marla Carter and Adison Kern, of Bridge City; Janie Moore and Davina Wilkerson, or Orange; and Brook Knapp, of Vidor, graduated cum laude (with honors), with GPAs of 3.5 to 3.64.
