The National Weather Service is expecting a wet, stormy period through the weekend. One to four inches of rain, locally up to eight inches, is expected. The heaviest rain is forecast to be along and south of the I-10 corridor from southeast Texas to southwest and south central Louisiana. During times of heavy rain, streets will become hazardous for travel and flood.

Along the coast, minor coastal flooding is expected during times of high tide through the weekend.

In the tropics, it continues to stay quiet in the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean, and Atlantic Ocean.
