St. Mary Catholic School teacher, Daphne McIntire received the Reaud Excellence in Education Award. This award was created to celebrate and recognize superior contributions of teachers whose leadership and dedication inspire a spirit of learning in students with all backgrounds and abilities.

Teachers are selected annually to receive this prestigious award and receive $10,000.00 in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the education system in Southeast Texas.Mrs. McIntire was one of the five middle school teachers chosen in Southeast Texas.
