Bobby Adaway, Sr.

Bobby Orrill Adaway, Sr., 70, of Port Neches, passed away June 21, at Serenity Care Assisted Living in Beaumont.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 24, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.

Born in Port Arthur, Dec. 16, 1944, he was the son of Landers Thomas Adaway and Amy Vincent Adaway. Bobby served in the U. S. Marines and worked in construction. He retired from Orangefield ISD.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Debra Jean Adaway and brother, Thomas Adaway.

He is survived by his children, Crystal Werkheiser and husband, Mark of Port Neches, Bobby Adaway, Jr. and wife, Rose of Orange, John Adaway of Bon Wier, Mitzi Adaway of Bridge City and Terry Reaves and husband, Matt of Bridge City; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and his sister, Amy Ann Breaux and husband, Melvin of Port Arthur.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.

The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff of Serenity Care Assisted Living for the wonderful care they provided for Bobby.
