Boyd Lance Petry, 74, of Orange, passed away June 22, at Baptist Hospital in Orange.

A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 25, at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 24, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Indian Bayou, La, July 1, 1940, he was the son of Kitchell Petry and Stella Faulk Petry. Boyd retired as a mechanic at Gulf/Chevron after 39 years. He volunteered with the Orange Lions Carnival. Boyd and Ginger enjoyed coaching in the Orange Softball league and he also enjoyed bow hunting and catfishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his ex-wife, Ginger Petry.

He is survived by his daughter, Gina Petry of Kirbyville; grandchildren, Blake Petry, Hannah Henley and Michael Tarver; brother, Charles Petry and wife, Charlotte of Vidor and sister, Peggy Davis and husband, Robert of Fort Worth. He is also survived by his special cousin and coffee friend, Allen Bertrand; special friends, Arlene Mills and husband, Lee and numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Charles Petry, Mitchell Bertrand, Allen Bertrand, Sammy Mills, Anissa Mills, and Kyle Mills.
