The Orange Fire Department was busy this July 4th weekend with battling three  house fires in the city.

The first fire was at the old Wingate House at the corner of Cypress and Sixth Street. The second fire was at the former Serenity House on Park Avenue at the railroad tracks.

The last fire was on Sholars Avenue.

All three were vacant and no injuries were reported.

Assistant Chief Lee Anne Brown said the fires are still under investigation and are suspicious in nature since they occurred back to back.
