Bridge City Police and emergency responders are on the scene of a body found in a canal at 10:15 am, Monday, July 20, in the 800 block of W. Roundbunch Rd,. in Bridge City. Fire and rescue personnel retrieved the body from the canal shortly after 10:00 am.

Richard Stone, 52, of Bridge City, was found floating face down in the canal Monday morning. Stone was last seen at about 11:00 pm Saturday evening. He had recently suffered a stroke.

According to an eye witness on the scene, Stone was reported missing Sunday.
