Kenneth Paul Marple Sr., 65, of Little Cypress passed away Tuesday, July 21, at his residence.

Kenneth was born on July 9, 1950 in Pittsburgh, Pa., to Walter Carl Marple Sr. and Margaret Loretta (Wagner) Marple. He has lived in the Orange area since 1973 and was a member of New Life Assembly of God Church. Kenneth served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War from 1969 until 1973. He enjoyed the outdoors, going fishing, camping and hunting. Kenneth was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, who loved spending time with his family and will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by his father; brother and sister in law, Robert and Nancy Marple and brother, Stephen E. Marple.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Anna Louise (Bellett) Marple of Little Cypress; mother, Margaret Marple of Pittsburgh; children, Kenda Edgerton and husband, Jeremy, Kenneth Paul "Bubba" Marple Jr. and wife, Jackie, Kristopher "Boo" Marple and wife, Regina, Kelsi Lin Marple, all of Little Cypress; grandchildren, Tanna Bailey, Kenneth "Kenny" Paul Marple III, Justin Duque, Alicia Feliciano, Kolton Marple and one great grandchild, Kenneth Bailey.

He is also survived by his siblings, Walter Carl Marple Jr. of Potomac Fall, VA, Lawrence "Larry" Marple and wife, Lucy of Mesa, AZ, Donald R. Marple, Ronald D. Marple and wife, Peg, all of Pittsburgh, Patti Hijar and husband, Anthony of Colorado City, CO., James M Marple of Pittsburgh and Michael T. Marple of Virginia and numerous nieces and nephews.

A service was held Friday, July 24, at Dorman Funeral Home, with the Rev. Keith Pennington officiating. Burial followed at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park.

Honoring Kenneth as pallbearers were Kenneth "Bubba" Marple Jr., Kristopher "Boo" Marple, Kenneth "Kenny" Marple III, Justin Duque, Bobby Telles and Jim Greene. Honorary pallbearer was Vernon S. Sheppard..

The family would like to express a special thank you to Christus Management Team, Shelia and Jamie; Dr. Thome's office and staff and also to Gentiva Hospice, Amber and Halie for the love and care given to Kenneth.
