Hot, dry weather expected to continue

The National Weather Service is expecting a continuation of the hot and dry weather for much of the next week. The hottest days will be Sunday through Tuesday, when many places in east Texas and central Louisiana will be over 100 F. Maximum heat indices will be over 110 F in some places.
There will be a small chance for rain next Wednesday.
In the tropics, we are expecting quiet conditions in the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea, and Atlantic Ocean.
