Each week The Record Newspapers features a pet, or pets of the week for adoption through local shelters and rescue organizations. This week’s pet comes to us from the Pinehurst Animal Shelter.

Meet Chase. Mr. Chase has been at the shelter for a little while and is up to date on all his shots and is already neutered. Chase gets along great with kids, dogs, puppies and adults, but he isn't believed to be very fond of cats. Chase is approximately a year old and is believed to be a Lab mix.

Chase would be a wonderful addition to any family. He wants to play fetch, curl up with his family to watch television and to be spoiled with the occasional treat. Are you the special someone to give this boy the chance of a lifetime? The shelter is no place for a pup to grow up.
