Hoke to speak about "being green" at Shangri La

Join Michael Hoke in a Talk About Being Green in Orange. Hoke will be speaking at the Discovery Center at Shangri La, Thursday, Sept. 24, from 6:30-7:30 pm.

Michael Hoke, founding director of Shangri La, will return to the gardens to talk about the careful planning and hard work that was required to make Shangri La an earth-friendly facility. From receiving Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) certification to two honor awards from the American Society of Landscape Architects, Hoke spearheaded the efforts to guide Shangri La in the direction to become one of the “Top Ten” green projects in the world. Whether you’re a first time visitor or a long-time Shangri La fan, you won’t want to miss the insight provided by Hoke.

Admission is $6 for adults, $2/$5 for children and free to members.
