The Bridge City Volunteer Fire Department recently visited the Wednesday Storytime group at the library. The volunteer firemen came and put on a fire safety class for the children. During the class they allowed the children to watch Firemen J.P. Ivy fully get dressed in his bunker gear and hear the sounds of mask. They also taught the children that if the ever need help and see a fireman that it is okay to go to them. They were also allowed to meet Sparky the Fire Dog and take pictures with Sparky. The conclusion of the class they allowed the children to walk through and sit in the Fire Truck to take pictures.
