Sandbags given out in Vidor

Last updated 11/2/2015 at Noon

Ryan Peabody, the emergency management coordinator for Orange County, reported there may be an increased chance of flooding in the Northwest/Vidor area of the county.

In response, personnel with the emergency management department are distributing sandbags to residents until 5 p.m. today or as long as supplies last at 345 Claiborne St. in Vidor. The filled bags will be given out on a first come, first served basis. Those who need extra sandbags are asked to bring a shovel to fill the bags.
