Three arrested during execution of search warrant

On Tuesday, Nov. 17, at 1:50 am, a search warrant was executed at 3512 Pheasant in Pinehurst.

The search warrant was the result of a joint investigation between the Orange Police Narcotics Division, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division, the Sulphur, LA. Police Department Narcotics Division and the BATF.

Officers recovered an ounce of methamphetamine, five firearms, one of which was a reported stolen shotgun and $1990 in cash.

Dwayne A. Vessel, 35, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and felon in possession of a firearm. He was taken to the Orange County Jail.

Vessel posted bond and was released from the jail at 10:00 am, that date. At 1:00 pm, officers from the Orange Police Narcotics Division were contacted by Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics and advised that they had just issued two warrants for Vessel's arrest for delivery of a controlled substance in Louisiana. Officers went back to the residence on Pheasant and found Vessel in the front yard where he was placed under arrest for the warrants.

Also at the residence with Vessel was Terrence Budwine, 35 and 33 year old Laurant Jefferson. Budwine was found in possession of approximately seven grams of methamphetamine. He was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Jefferson had an outstanding felony warrant out of the 260th District County in Orange County for possession of a controlled substance. He was also arrested. Officers recovered an additional stolen handgun at the scene.
