Weather service expecting above normal temperatures

The National Weather Service is expecting warm, above normal temperatures to continue through the weekend. A cold front on Monday will bring showers and thunderstorms. The NWS will be monitoring for possible strong to severe storms. Up to one inch of rain is expected.

As the rain tapers off Tuesday, temperatures will trend cooler for the remainder of next week.

At the coast, tides will run above normal this weekend due to the strong southerly winds.
