Early voting concludes with large turnout

Early voting concluded on Friday with turnout surpassing the March Primary figures of 2012.

A total of .... ballots were submitted by Orange County voters during the 10-day6 early voting period, which concluded at 5 p.m., Friday, Feb. 26. This surpassed the total of 5,567 ballots during the March 2012 Primary early voting period.

"We are definitely doing a lot better this early voing period," said Tina Leverett, Orange County Election Administrator. "There has been a lot of interest in the Presidential candidates, and we have a lot of local races on the ballot which people are interested in as well."

In the Orange County Republican Primary, a total of ... ballots were received during the 10-day early voting period. This included .... being received on Friday.

Overall in the Republican Primary, ..... ballots were submitted by voters at the Orange Public Library, .... at the Bridge City Public Works Building, .... at the Mauriceville Volunteer Fire Department, .... at the Raymond Gould Community Center in Vidor and .... in the mail through the U.S. Postal Service. More ballots could be added to this U.S. mail figure if they arrive at the Orange County Election Administration Office on Monday and Tuesday.

In the Orange County Democratic Primary, a total of .... ballots were submitted by voters during the 10-day early voting period. This included .... being submitted on Friday.

Overall in the Democratic Primary, ........ ballots were submitted by voters at the Orange Public Library, .... at the Bridge City Public Works Building, .... at the Mauriceville Volunteer Fire Department, .... at the Raymond Gould Community Center in Vidor and .... in the mail through the U.S. Postal Service.
