Molina provides support during local nursing home evacuation

Molina employees Sheila Shelton, Angie Wise and Rebecca Krejci, along with Molina’s cat doctor mascot, Dr. Cleo, deliver more than 1,000 bottles of water to Pinehurst Nursing and Rehabilitation in Orange. A total of 56 residents of the nursing home were ordered to evacuate due to flood gate releases from the Toledo Bend Reservoir into the Sabine River.
Recently, Orange Villa Nursing and Rehabilitation in Orange was ordered to evacuate due to flood gate releases from the Toledo Bend Reservoir into the Sabine River. A total of 56 residents were temporarily moved from the facility to two other nursing homes in Beaumont and Orange.
To support the residents during this sudden relocation, Molina Healthcare employees, along with Dr. Cleo, the company’s cat doctor mascot, dropped by Pinehurst Nursing and Rehabilitation in Orange to deliver more than 1,000 water bottles and snacks to those affected. Molina also ensured that members impacted by the relocation were in touch with the service coordination team to guarantee the continuity of their care.
