Both Little Cypress-Mauriceville Golf Teams brought home District titles for the Bears last week.

The Boys best four scores were the same 336 as Bridge City, but the tie-breaker was the fifth team member had a better score.

The girls team won easily with Hardin Jefferson finishing second. The team shot 415 and 389 for a total of 804, followed by Hardin Jefferson with 876.

Boys’ individual scores were: Evan Toohey shot a two-day total of 167; Reese Soliz shot 172; Tyler Ridgaway shot 176; Trey Love shot 175 and Hunter Hooks shot 190.

Girls’ individual scores were: Lauren Cox won first with a 4 under par, 142 total; Teresa Beckett shot 205; Kacie Nichols shot 226; Jessica McLain shot 231 and Marlee Bird shot 287.
