Police searching for Vidor man in hit and run injury of toddler

Police are searching for a 35 year old Vidor man who is wanted for allegedly not stopping to render aid in the hit and run incident of a two year old child.

The child was struck and injured on Friday according to Texas DPS officials.

According to the DPS, Michael Leautloff has been accused of running a gray Chevrolet Tahoe into the child as he was traveling through the Denbow Mobile Home Park in Orange County.

The child reportedly ran from a private driveway into the street at about 6 pm. Witnesses were able to provide DPS Troopers with a description and the license plate number of the vehicle.

DPS officials are asking for anyone with information on Leutloff's location to contact the agency at (936) 699-7340, or the Orange County Sheriff's Office at (409) 883-2612.

The child's medical condition is unknown.
