The Golden Nugget Casino is looking to make 2016 one to remember as the facility continues to announce big shows for summer and into fall.

Rock star Rick Springfield returns to Southwest Louisiana for a concert performance on Saturday, Nov. 5, inside the Grand Event Centre of the Golden Nugget Casino in Lake Charles, La. Tickets are $40-$65 and go on sale at 10 a.m., Friday, June 10, at all Ticketmaster outlets, including HEB Plus in Beaumont and online at www.ticketmaster.com, as well as charge by phone at 800-745-3000.

Springfield, 66, is best known for his string of chart topping hits and successful albums during the 1980s. Songs such as “Don’t Talk to Strangers,” “Affair of the Heart,” “I Get Excited,” “What Kind of Fool Am I?” “Human Touch,” “Love Somebody,” and his sole number one hit, “Jessie’s Girl,” helped make Springfield a household name and a sell-out attraction anywhere he performed for most of the decade.

Over the course of his career, which has now spanned five decades, he has released 17 studio albums, 34 singles and has four platinum selling albums and one gold album to his credit, with “Working Class Dog” peaking at number seven on the Billboard Top 200 albums chart in 1981 and “Success Hasn’t Spoiled Me Yet” reaching number two in 1982.

The Australian-native has released seven albums since 2004, including his February 2016 album, “Rocket Science,” which peaked at number 69 on the albums chart and he is currently supporting on tour.
