Hot weather to continue - rain, heat advisories expected

Last updated 7/14/2016 at Noon

The National Weather Service is expecting a continuation of the warm weather, with highs in the 90s and lows in the 70s for the next seven days. A few showers and thunderstorms are expected each day. Heat indices will be in the 100 to 110 F range, so a heat advisory may be required at times. Irregardless, when outdoors drink plenty of water. Try to minimize the amount of time spent outside during the hottest part of the day.

The tropics will remain quiet in the Gulf, Caribbean and Atlantic. The eastern Pacific has been busy the past two weeks, and will continue to be busy for the next week.
