Texas Ave. and Roundbunch Rd. in Bridge City was closed after the driver of a pickup truck crashed into a utility pole and the vehicle overturned early Sunday morning, injuring one person.

Bridge City Police and Fire responded to the accident at about 1:30 am Sunday morning. First responders say the pickup truck struck a vehicle carrying a family, before hitting the utility pole and overturning, pulling down power lines and knocking out power to many families.

One person was flown by medical helicopter to a hospital.

TxDOT reopened the intersection at about 7:40 a.m. Sunday.
