A judge arraigned a suspect Sunday afternoon in the case of man who received stab wounds in the face and neck area at an Orange boat launch.

Bond was set at $25,000 for Samuel Cecil Sanchez III at the Orange County Jail on a charge of aggravated assault in the stabbing of a man who received a wound in the face and neck area during an argument.

Orange Police responded to the call at about 6:30 pm Saturday at the boat launch. Officers say the injuries don't appear to be life threatening.

The two men pulled into the launch area to put their boats on trailers. The two exchanged words and the victim was struck, knocked to the ground, then stabbed as he tried to get back up.

Sanchez was arrested and transported to Orange County jail on the assault charges. The victim, Brian Gordy, was transported Baptist Hospital in Orange for treatment.
