Edward A. Dubord, Jr., 85, of Orange, passed away Aug. 29, in Port Arthur. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 9:00 a.m., Friday, Sept. 2, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Orange. Officiating will be Father Sinclair Oubre. Entombment will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum.

Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Bridgeport, Ct., on July 3, 1931, he was the son of Edward Dubord, Sr. and Catherine (Lalley) Dubord. He was a pipefitter and welder with Local 173. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, served in the Korean War and was a member of the V.F.W. He was also a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church where he was an usher for many years. He was a 3rd and 4th degree Knight of Columbus and served as Grand Knight. Edward enjoyed being a member of the Orange Boat Club where he was the Rear Commodore. He was an avid fisherman and a New York Giants fan. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Edward Dubord, III and sisters, Lorraine Mandolfo and Ella Russin.

Edward is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Joan Dubord; children, Deborah Matosian, of Derby, CT, Patrick Dubord, of Austin, Kathleen Dubord, of Round Rock and Joan Bevers, of Austin; grandchildren, Carissa Chadwick, Amy W. LaChioma, Jessica Megan Sherwin, Philip Dubord, Kristina Bevers, Katelyn Matosian, Courtney Dubord, Alex Matosian, Kacee Dubord and Edward Dubord; great-grandchildren, Austin Ramirez, Christian Ramirez, Brendan Sherwin, Olivia Fensore, Giavana Fensore, Bryden LaChioma and Haylee Dubord; sister, Joyce Loschiavo and brother, Charles Dubord, both of Bridgeport, CT; beloved dog, Tiki and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 4300 Meeks Dr. Orange, TX., 77632 or to the National Breast Cancer Foundation at 2600 Network Blvd., Suite 300 Frisco, TX 75034.
