Norine P. Passero, 73, of Taylor Landing, died Monday, December 12, 2016. She was born on March 2, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois, to Enid Danderhan Carlson and Charles Carlson.

Norine was a master gardener, avid reader, and landscape painter. She will be remembered as a kind and easy going lady who had a zest for life.

Survivors include her husband of fifty-two years, Salvatore “Sam” Passero; son, Marc A. Passero and his wife, Diane, of South Bend, Indiana; grandson, Anthony Passero; brother, Ray Kemp and his wife Jan, of Tucson, Arizona; and cousin, Lois of Tucson, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A gathering of Mrs. Passero’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 16, 2016, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 17, 2016, at Broussard’s, with her interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Passero’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105 and Shriners Hospitals for Children, International Headquarters, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, Florida 33607.
