Walmart donates to Friends of BC Library

Friends of the Bridge City Public Library received a $1,000 grant from Bridge City Walmart to help with the publication of “The History of Prairie View-Bridge City.”
The local historical book was written by longtime Friends of the Bridge City Library member Charlotte Chiasson.
“We thank Bridge City Walmart for their generous donation.  They are such a vital part of our community and we appreciate their assistance with the publication of the book,” Chiasson said.  “We can always count of Walmart to help the library in our many projects that benefit the entire community.”
Uwanna Richeaux, store manager, made the check presentation to Chiasson.
The historical book is now in its third printing and available for $40 at the Bridge City Public Library, 105 Parkside Dr.  All proceeds from the sale of the book will benefit the Bridge City Public Library expansion project.
