Dovie A. Frederick, 95, of Vidor died Thursday, March 11, 2010, at her daughter’s residence in Vidor. A native of Vandervoort, Ark., she was a longtime resident of Vidor, and was a retired grocery store clerk with Jacks Pak-it. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.

Jerry Wesley Meeks, 79 years old, of Carriere, Miss., formerly of Bridge City, passed away at Slidell (La.) Memorial Hospital, Tuesday, March 9, 2010, following a long illness. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 5-8 p.m. at Broussard’s Funeral Home in Nederland. Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Broussard’s with the Rev. Jeff Anderson officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
