Salvation Army gets a helping hand from Sabine FCU

After hearing about the need of the Salvation Army in Orange, the employees of Sabine Federal Credit Union went into action.

In just over a week’s time, the employees had collected over 380 food items. They also contributed and received monetary donations from board of directors totaling $175. On top of these contributions, a corporate donation of $1,000 was made.

The Salvation Army’s Maj. John Queener was very appreciative, saying that this will all be put to good use. He also said that while needs have increased at least 50%, the donations have decreased by at least that much.

The employees of Sabine FCU were glad to assist and help fulfill the credit union motto of ‘People Helping People.’
