Wednesday evening, Orange police responded to a call from the 200 block of Camellia St. in reference to a man shooting a neighbor’s dog. The dog reportedly jumped the fence, and came after the man and his dog.

The man, who called police, told Officer Christopher Cowart that he was in the back yard with his dog, when the pit bull from the next door neighbor’s house jumped the fence and came after him and his dog.

The man informed police that this had occurred several times before, and since the first time, he has always carried his 9mmm pistol with him in the yard as he has been in fear for his family’s safety, as well as the dog’s safety.
