CCS defeats Lighthouse Baptist

Community Christian Lions boys basketball team caged the Lighthouse Baptist Academy Cougars of Baytown last Tuesday night at the Homecoming game with a score of 76 – 19. The Lions’ goals were led by Brett Foster and Alex Parrish both with 14 points, Matthew McAfee with 12, Joseph Leblanc with 11, Jacob Trevino and CJ Wagner both with six points. Jacob Trevino had 10 rebounds and Matthew McAfee had eight. Matthew McAfee and Joseph Leblanc both had five steals. The Lions’ district record is 6-0.

The CCS girls basketball team mauled the Lighthouse Baptist Academy Cougars of Baytown Tuesday night at the Homecoming game with a score of 52 – 7. The Lions’ goals were led by Samantha Leifeste with 21 points and 13 rebounds, Hannah Breaux with 12 points and seven steals, and Amanda Royer with 10 points and 14 rebounds. The Lions are first in TAPPS District 1A with a standing of 5-0.
