The Southeast Texas Junior Football League kicked off last weekend in scrimmage action throughout Orange County.

Above: Tre’ Bernard rolls out to pass for the Bridge City Cardinals against the West Orange-Stark Mustangs in the 9-10 year old division on home field Saturday. Tre’ is the son of Rusty and Tiffaney Bernard.

The Cardinals open their youth football season on the road against Nederland, Aug. 22 at 10:30 a.m. Coaches include Shane Dorsey, Rocky Walker, Rusty Bernard, Jerry Ramero.

Rick Dearing is President of the STJFL and head coach for the senior boys ages 11-12.
